My fee for an hourly (50 min) session is $200 for adults and $250 for adolescents/families. I charge the same rate per hour whether it is the initial consultation or a family session. Depending on your financial situation (e.g. job loss) or phase of life (e.g. recent college grad), we can work together to establish a fee that is comfortable for the both of us. I ask for clients to pay by cash or check at the time of each session. I also accept credit cards for your convenience (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover).
Your scheduled appointment is a time reserved for you. I require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. Failure to notify at least 24 hours in advance may result in loss of your regularly scheduled appointment time and/or delays in rescheduling. Failure to notify at all (i.e. not showing for your appointment) and last minute cancelations will result in being billed for that session, which is standard practice in our field.
Health Insurance: If you do have health insurance, you may be reimbursed for our sessions since I’m a licensed psychologist. Before our initial appointment, please contact your insurance company and find out about your “out-of-network” benefits. Depending on your specific coverage, your carrier may even reimburse up to 80% of the fee.
